Smog Dogs is a licensed smog inspection station located at 75450 Gerald Ford Drive, Suite 310, Palm Desert, California 92211. We provide smog checks, vehicle inspections, andrelated services to customers in the Coachella Valley.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information directly from you when you do business with us:

• Contact information: name, mobile phone number, email address, and mailing address (when provided)
• Vehicle information: license plate, VIN, make, model, year, and inspection details required by California state law
• Payment information: handled by our point-of-sale processor; we do not store full credit card numbers on our systems
• Appointment details: scheduled date and time, service requested, and notes from your visit

We also collect limited information automatically when you visit smogdogsllc.com, including basic analytics such as page views and the type of device used. We do not use behavioral advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule and perform your smog inspection or other service
• Comply with California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) reporting requirements
• Contact you about your appointment, including reminders and follow-ups
• Process your payment
• If you opt in via our intake form: send up to two (2) text messages after your visit asking if you'd be willing to leave a Google review (see SMS section below)
• Operate and improve our business and website
  

4. SMS Communications and Text Message Reviews

Smog Dogs operates an SMS-based review-request program. If you opt in via the checkbox on our intake form, we may send up to two (2) text messages after your appointment is complete:

• One message shortly after your visit asking if you'd consider leaving a Google review
• One reminder message within 48 hours if you have not yet replied or opted out

Message frequency: Maximum of 2 messages per visit. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages — only review requests directly tied to your recent service appointment.

Carrier charges: Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier's rate plan.

Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Replying HELP returns contact information. Opting out is immediate and does not affect your ability to receive service from Smog Dogs.

Data we collect for SMS purposes: Your name, mobile phone number, and the date of your service appointment. We use this data only to send the review-request messages described above. We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to third parties. SMS opt-in data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Service provider: Text messages are sent through Twilio, a third-party SMS delivery service, in compliance with U.S. carrier regulations, including 10DLC registration.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our business:

• With the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), as required by state law, for smog inspection reporting
• With our payment processor to process your transaction
• With Twilio to deliver SMS messages, if you've opted in
• With Google Business Profile, if you choose to leave a public Google review (the review itself is public by your choice)
• With service providers who help us operate our business (website hosting, scheduling software, etc.), under confidentiality obligations

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide service, comply with California state record-keeping requirements for smog inspections, and operate our business. Phone numbers in our SMS program are retained for the duration of your relationship with us; you can request earlier deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the information we have about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal record-keeping requirements for smog inspections)
• Opt out of our SMS program at any time by replying STOP
• For California residents: rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act(CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
